Hotel Pet Policies
Policies vary from hotel to hotel but there is usually a limit to the number of dogs allowed per room (typically 1 or 2). Some places also have weight limits for dogs, and pets cannot be left unattended. They must be in a kennel or crate at all times. Some properties even offer kernels for rent. Pets should be crated or lashed at the property and hotel. They are not allowed in the fitness centre, spa, conference room, and near any of the indoor or outdoor pools. Dogs are only permitted in park relief areas, the main lobby, and pet friendly hotel rooms. Guests with pets that are disruptive or too loud are asked to leave the premises. To this, guests are also asked to sign and fill in a dog policy agreement at check-in. In addition, customers are asked to notify the hotel in advance if planning to arrive with a dog. In some cases, owners are charged extra for staying at pet friendly accommodations, including additional damage and cleaning fees. Time out fees may apply as well when pets are left unattended.
